I hate the title, but I love the book. The title suggests that riches are in store for those who follow the author's advice. It ain't so. Near the end of the book Usborne explains:

"I urge you to be realistic in your expectations. The new path to riches model works, but it won't earn you tens of thousands of extra dollars overnight. This isn't a get rich quick scheme. The process takes time and plenty of hard work."

Usborne has a solid, workable plan, one that he has used to earn a good living -- and for that matter, so have I. He explained the basic approach in a series of four brief articles in Web Marketing Today in Spring 2009 entitled "How to Earn Money Writing a Weekend Website." Essentially, Usborne's approach requires you to select a potentially profitable niche, set up a website, write perhaps 50 or 100 or 200 articles on various aspects of the subject, and then monetize it by either selling Google AdWords contextual ads or with affiliate links to merchants selling products -- or both. It works!

Usborne writes extremely well. He's easy to read, clear about how to approach this, honest about the possible results, and encouraging to people who are desperately trying to find a way to earn money via the Internet. I like the book. I strongly recommend New Path to Riches for individuals who want to begin developing modest revenue streams on the Internet.
