ClickAlyzer is a hosted ASP program written in PHP that allows you to set up special ad links. More than a click-through counter and redirect script, ClickAlyzer actually records each subsequent webpage transversed by anyone who clicks on the link.

ClickAlyzer uses two approaches to tracking. On your own website it uses Installed Tracking Codes, snippets of JavaScript code you put on each webpage that feed information to the ClickAlyzer logfile.

What makes it unique, however, is that its Remote Tracking Engine doesn't require tracked pages to be on your site. It can track shoppers when they click on an affiliate link on your site, and then off your site entirely to the merchant's site and on every page within the merchant's site. You can tell if a sale results during that session if the merchant's Thank You Page appears in the ClickAlyzer logfile.

ClickAlyzer enables you to examine problems in the sales process, accuracy of affiliate program accounting, etc. It works best with single-product links, since it does not track the actual transaction total, but records the assumed sales price that you designated when you set up the campaign on ClickAlyzer. Statistical analysis shows you both click-through and conversion rates of your ad campaigns.

The program allows up to 4 URL filters so you can analyze various aspects of visitor's actions. For example, you could track sales from all visitors who entered on a particular webpage and took a particular path through your site.

Currently, a few affiliate programs on merchant sites are incompatible with the ClickAlyzer tracking system. The program is in the process of being completely re-written. The company is also moving to expand its infrastructure so that it can scale up rapidly. They hope to have these changes in place in May 2003.
